Governor's Cup Trio
We’re excited to share three of our 2022 Governor’s Cup Medal WInners. In this 40th year of competition over 615 wines were sampled, these wines took home top honors and are featured in this celebratory trio.
Gold Medal Winner Petit Manseng 2020: having intense flavors of honeysuckle, dried apricot and sourdough, it finishes with a classic ‘touch of stone minerality’ and is a delight to drink and great for pairing with rich, flavorful dishes. We suggest seafood, heavier white fish with butter sauce, Asian and Thai dishes.
Silver Medal Winner Reserve Rose 2020: this vintage reveals delicate aromas of lemongrass and pomegranate, all held in check by a refreshing wave of crisp acidity. We suggest pairing with seafood, veggies and soft cheeses.
Silver Medal Winner Cabernet Sauvignon 2019: you’ll find blended highlights of dark cherry and violet aromatics with black currant, blueberry and lavender flavors, all while preserving the tannins and acidity this varietal is known for. This vintage pairs particularly well with peppery steak, beef burgers, portobello mushrooms and aged cheddars.
