Virginia Governor's Cup 2023 - Gold Medal Winner
We harvest the Petit Manseng grapes, a French varietal, later in the season to allow residual sugars to reach higher levels. Our Petit Manseng is a Jurançon-style wine, is both sweet and dry, thus offering the best of both worlds. With aromas of pineapple and elderflower, and intense flavors of pineapple, honeydew, and cantaloupe, it finishes with the classic ‘touch of stone minerality’ and is a delight for drinking and pairing with rich, flavorful dishes.
Nose: pineapple, elderflower, Meyer lemon, fennel seed
Palate: pineapple, honeydew, cantaloupe
Finish: medium acid, light plus body, creamy mouthfeel
