Ridge Reserve 2021

We are proud to unveil the Ridge Reserve Cabernet Franc, a standout addition to our lineup of premium wines.  This 2021 vintage represents the best of our craftsmanship, with 18 months of barrel aging that includes a higher portion of new French oak, resulting in a wine that is rich, complex, and built to age. 

Cabernet Franc is one of the world’s most celebrated varietals, and we’ve worked carefully to bring out its signature peppery notes while refining its depth and character.  We age this wine in both new and neutral French oak barrels to enhance its complexity, bringing out its rich aromas of red plum, cloves, and coffee bean, while highlighting flavors of cherry, milk chocolate, tobacco, and pink peppercorn. Its finish has medium acidity and tannins.

This lovely wine pairs well with rich foods - beef steak, burgers, lamb, and venison.  Creamy cheeses like camembert, chevre or Boursin and roasted vegetables, tomato-based dishes, or lentils.

Nose:  red plum, cloves, coffee bean, sandalwood

Palate:  cherry, milk chocolate, tobacco, flint, pink peppercorn

Finish:  medium acidity, medium tannins, light finish

Blend:  99% Cabernet Franc, 1% Malbec
