Nose:  cassis, dark chocolate, cloves

Palate:  tobacco, leather, campfire 

Finish:  black pepper, dark fruits, violet, high tannins

Varietal:  96% Petit Verdot, 4% Merlot

Nose:  plum, oak, tobacco, pencil shavings

Palate:  plum, black currant

Finish:  granite, fine tannins

Varietals:  100% Petit Verdot

 

Petit Verdot 2021

Our 2021 Petit Verdot is a beautiful example of why we love this grape so much. We age this wine in both new and neutral French oak barrels to enhance its complexity, bringing out its rich aromas of fennel, graphite, and violet, while highlighting flavors of cola nut and plum. Its finish is dry, with medium plus acid and tannins. This lovely wine pairs well with rich meat dishes, spicy foods, and a variety of hard and semi-soft cheeses.

Nose:  fennel, graphite, violet, lavender

Palate:  cola nut, plum, dill, green olive

Finish:  medium plus acid, medium plus tannins, fine tannin texture

Varietal:  92% Petit Verdot, 5% Tannat, 3% Merlot
