Viognier 2023

2025 Virginia Governor's Cup Silver Medal
The Viognier grape was almost extinct in the 1960's, with only 35 acres growing in France, but Virginia has played a role in its dynamic comeback. While the color and aroma may suggest a sweet wine, Viogniers are predominantly dry and are known for producing heavy aromatics with low acidity. Our 2023 vintage is fruit-forward with a creamy feel and light acidity, making it delightful to sip or pair with food.
Nose: lychee, white peach, apricot, orange blossom
Palate: mango, passion fruit, pineapple, vanilla bean
Finish: light minerality, light plus acid, creamy body
Varietal: 100% Viognier
